I was an admirer of Max's landscape images and the style of his post-processing so decided to give one of his Photoshop post-processing tutorials a go. Although not all of Max's creative editing techniques are appropriate to my images, I learned a huge amount. I know my Adobe Photoshop but certainly wouldn't class myself as an expert, but Max ran through everything at a comfortable pace to follow a long. If you wish to improve your processing techniques, I would recommend purchasing one of Max's tutorials!

Max Rive has truly set new standards in landscape photography with his Tenerife editing course. The post-processing he applies follows a very artistic approach and some steps are inspired by landscape painting. I have been doing photography and post-processing in Photoshop for many years, but Max's editing videos have given me new insights and techniques, which I now use in slightly y photos. Starting out with limited knowledge of photography and editing in particular, Max's tutorials really helped me to break that learning curve and take my images to a whole new level. As someone who wants to convey that adventurous spirit through photography, nobody exemplifies that better than Max and these tutorials can help you get there. Detailed and easy to follow, not only will you learn a wide range of editing techniques, but also how to think creatively about your images to bring out mood, atmosphere, depth and most importantly, emotion.

I really liked Max's tutorials with plenty of techniques for processing landscape photos. His unique techniques only make use of a few tools which creates 3D looking images. No confusing layer masks, luminousity masks etc. Also the most important section is that every processing video has on location planning, finding good compositions, capturing sections. The courses are super helpful. I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in landscape photography. I bet if you try to learn his techniques by youself you will definitely need 10+ years!

I started with the perfect sunstar up to your master processing program and during that time my images became so much more attention to the audience. My followers started to increase , they started to ask me about how to etc. What I most liked was to push my own limits and the potential of my fotos way beyond what I ever had expected in the past ! Thanks to your tutorials I became a better photographer in all aspects :)

Max has a unique processing style and he offers lots of insight into how he processes each image. While the technical processing sections of the videos are excellent, what I find most useful is hearing him explain why he makes each artistic and creative decision. These artistic principles can be applied to your own images to help you improve your photography. I highly recommend Max's processing videos.

Max's processing videos have all been great! I enjoy working through them as Max tend to explain everything in enough detail for me to understand. I have been able to better understand specific tools in photoshop and more importantly how to use them to create the desired effects. I had long been a fan of Max's style of editing as the images felt a lot like paintings and it was nice to see how Max actually treating them as such. Additionally I like the sense of 'drama' that most of them convey. 

Max’s post processing videos helped improve my landscape photography a lot!  What would have taken me potentially years to learn, I was able to grasp and put into my workflow quickly. New ideas, thoughts and techniques to help me scout, capture and then post process images have been so incredibly valuable to my progression. I bought 3 of Max video tutorials, all are impressive and easy to follow. His attention to details and ability to imagine what he wanted to develop the raw files before he started the processing helps me understand how the post processing should be done.

Your style is specific and original, and you deliver the content in an understandable way for any photographer. Also, thank you for revealing your developing secret techniques. It was significant learning for me and changed my approach in my image editing and retouching.

Doesn’t matter whether you had the chance to meet Max Rive in person or not. Few minutes of one of his video tutorials and it will feel like you have known him for a long time. Max is friendly, deeply engaging and all his techniques are meticulously explained, step by step. Many of those are now part of my editing workflow. Few words to describe his tutorials? More addictive than Netflix.

What I love about the Max Rive tutorials is that they aren't about a preset or how to copy-cat his style, instead they are about smart step by step workflow processes on how to get the best out of a photo so that these same skills can then be applied to your photos to bring out their best in your own style. If you are contemplating purchasing a tutorial series, this is the one I would recommend and they are worth it.
