About the artwork

An almost 360 degree panorama of El Teide and its surroundings on the canary island of Tenerife. This is the only 360 degree panorama Max ever took. Max always says that it is the composition which decide the field of view and in this case he came up with a brilliant idea to frame El Teide with the milky way. The light on the left is Zodiacal light, which is sunlight reflected from cometary dust concentrated in the plane of the zodiac, or ecliptic. The light on the right is coming from a town on the North Coast.
