Starting out with limited knowledge of photography and editing in particular, Max's Paradise Mountain tutorial really helped me to take my images to a whole new level. As someone who wants to convey that adventurous spirit through photography, nobody exemplifies that better than Max and these tutorials can help you get there. Detailed and easy to follow, not only will you learn a wide range of editing techniques, but also how to think creatively about your images to bring out mood, atmosphere, depth and most importantly, emotion.

I discovered Max's tutorials for the first time while joining his Patagonia Tour. The Paradise Mountain tutorial is very applicable to all sorts of landscape photography and are especially recommended for those, who want to achieve more dramatic and epic final product impacts. They are based on examples and motives from real life, and they gently guide the artist from basic techniques to more progressive Photoshop approaches. Nowadays every photo I create still contains his knowledge and post production techniques.

The Paradise Mountain editing tutorial really helped me to understand the importance of color balance, as well as creating depth in my landscape photos. Max’s step by step way of photoshop editing helped me to pay more attention to little photoshop details. Which is necessary to create outstanding photos. Max got a great eye for those little details and can teach post-processing techniques in a simple and understandable way, to bring out the best in your landscape photos. I really can recommend histu torials!

It is fascinating to see Max’s entire workflow from the raw photo(s) until the final image. A bunch of Max’s postprocessing secrets inspired my workflow: color management, special contrast method, local selections and warping, they are all fantastic tools that elevated my photography. On top of that I really liked his relaxed narrative style. Great job, as always!

Max, Your processing video has taught me a lot in only a short time! Using grayscale and split toning menu was something i almost never did before. Also how you use the clone stamp tool to bring back contrast after adding mist to the photos. Thank you!

I purchased the White Mountain video and was so impressed that I purchased 2 additional videos (Mountain Paradise and Digital Scouting with Google Earth). He has a meticulously thought out plan that he walks you through, explaining the “how and why” of what he is doing on each step. His use of color separation, color balance, light painting and his Unique Contrast Control technique results in an insane 3D effect! My images have definitely taken a major step forward, thanks Max!

I have purchased the ultimate bundle and the Peru tutorial and one thing that I love from these tutorials are the how-to plan the shooting part. Most tutorials go straight to the postprocessing and it is fine. But for me is as important to learn how to plan the shooting before you get there and to know how to look for the advantage points for the best compositions. Once you get into the postprocessing my favorite part is how Max controls color and mood through the image. I really enjoyed learning some of the techniques that make his photography so unique.

I have purchased several of Max Rive's tutorials over the years and have learned something new from each one. Max has a unique processing style and he offers lots of insight into how he processes each image. While the technical processing sections of the videos are excellent, what I find most useful is hearing him explain why he makes each artistic and creative decision. These artistic principles can be applied to your own images to help you improve your photography. I highly recommend Max's processing videos.

There are a number of different things I like about Max's photography; balance of tones, simplicity in colors and 'oomph' are some. I tried myself for years to apply some of those concepts to my style of photography but failed. Then came the tutorial series from Max which I'm glad I bought and followed. They are well laid out, methodical and explain concepts to execution which I could not have learned myself. Simply they helped me a great deal. I recommend them for anybody who would like to add a creative touch to your photography

I've learned so much from Max's processing videos and have taken my editing to the next level. Although I am still on a journey of figuring out my own style, Max has helped me to understand how to best manage color, which was most important for me to learn. Also, it's amazing how you can obtain a 3D effect with some of his amazing techniques. My panorama game has gone a few levels up too. I loved scouting tips and IG tips make such a big difference too! Best spent money yet! Thank you Max for sharing your knowledge.

Just in these last days I have reviewed several times the two tutorials of Max Rive that I bought" The White Mountain "and" Mountain Paradise "and I realized how powerful are its advanced contrast, three-dimensionality and color correction techniques. I believe that his style is something unique, imitated by many, but without achieving the same amazing results. I recommend to anyone who wants to learn post-production from one of the best landscape photographers today to buy his videos tutorial. You will learn simple techniques, but at the same time able to give soul to your landscape photos

What I enjoyed most about Max’s courses is his editing techniques. He helps you to “sculpt” your photo with light so that it has a depth, almost a third dimension. You are drawn in and through the experience of that place, and his instructions are clear and concise enough for anyone to follow and implement. If you want your photos to be more alive with the experience you had when you took the photo, these courses are for you. Thanks Max for helping take may post processing to the next level.

Manual Focus Stacking.
The Focus Stacking technique combines multiple images taken at different focus distances. This technique is needed if you want to have sharpness from front to back, and if your camera is within a short distance towards the nearest foreground object. This technique is only possible if you are using a tripod - or, at least that is what most photographers. think. Max Rive will demonstrate how you can do the focus stacking technique when the photos have been taken handheld.
The presence of haze is a welcome element when you want to achieve more depth. The more haze, the more depth between layers. Sometimes the sky is very clear or there is no light coming in the valley. In these cases the photo can greatly benefit from added haze. The color of the haze is also important, which should be warmer and brighter towards the sun and cooler and darker when you are further away from the sun. In this Photoshop editing tutorial you will learn how to add realistic looking haze and which rules apply in order to make it look realistic.
