Photo Tours Terms and Conditions

1. TOUR OUTLINE

    • Understanding visual design and composition

    • Understanding how to find unique compositions in the field

    • Understanding how to use special techniques such as focus stacking, exposure blending and panorama merging

    • Understanding and working with light

    • Understanding the methodology behind long exposure and astro/night photography

    • Understanding how, when and where to use various filters

    • Understanding how to improvise and shoot based on the given weather conditions

      2. DISCLAIMER 

      • The tour is always dependent on weather conditions,

      • That being said, there are plenty of other options in case plan A fails. Plan B could very well turn out to be even better.

      3. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

      The deposit of 1500, - euro can be transferred to a different tour. A refund will be given if 1. A replacement has been found and 2. If the tour is fully booked.


      Refund Policy regarding the full payment
      (which is required 90 days before the tour start):
       • More than 60 days prior to the start date: 70% refund
      • 45 days prior to the start date: 35% refund
      • 30 days prior to the start date: 15% refund
      • Less than 30 days: no refund.


      When a replacement has been found a refund will be given. Any discount offered to that replacement will be deducted from the refund amount. The received amount will be refunded - transaction costs and currency differences might lower this amount.


      Refunds will be paid by the same method as the original payment was made. Refunds will be initiated within 72 hours after the approved request.


      Change of Tours

      When the participant would like to cancel between 90 days and 8 weeks prior to the tour start the deposit and any payments made can be transferred to any other tour date.

      4. Post Processing Videos

      All of MRP’s Processing instructional videos available till 2 weeks after the workshop last day, will be shared among the group with a link to the video. Not included are

      • the in the field tutorials, which can be found on maxrivetutorials.com.

      • Preset packs for Luminar

      5. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

      Inconsideration of the services of the workshop leaders, their officers, agents, employees, stockholders and all other persons or entities associated with those businesses (hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Workshop Leaders"), 1 agree as follows: Although the Workshop Leaders have taken reasonable steps to provide me with appropriate equipment and skilled guides, so I can enjoy an activity for which I may not be skilled, the Workshop Leaders have informed me this activity is not without risk. Certain risks are inherent in each activity and cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of the activity. These inherent risks are the same elements that contribute to the unique character of this activity and can be the cause of loss or damage to my equipment, or accidental injury, illness, or in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death. The Workshop Leaders do not want to frighten me or reduce my enthusiasm for this activity, but believe it is important for me to know in advance what to expect and to be informed of the inherent risks. The following describes some, but not all, of those risks: weather events such as storms, lightning, and high winds; exposure to heat, cold, or cold water resulting in hyperthermia, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke; injuries related to hiking over uneven terrain or falling from heights such as muscle or joint strains and sprains, and broken bones; drowning in ocean waters or inland streams; injuries related to physical exertion including exhaustion, stroke, or cardiac events; and damage to photography equipment.

      I am aware that nature photography entails risks of injury or death to any participant. I understand the description of these inherent risks is not complete and that other unknown or unanticipated inherent risks may result in injury or death. I agree to assume and accept full responsibility for the inherent risks identified herein and those inherent risks not specifically identified. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, no one is forcing me to participate, and I elect to participate in spite of and with full knowledge of the inherent risks.

      I acknowledge that engaging in this activity may require a degree of skill and knowledge different from other activities and that I have responsibilities as a participant. I acknowledge that the Workshop Leaders have been available to more fully explain to me the nature and physical demands of this activity and the inherent risks, hazards, and dangers associated with this activity. I certify that I am fully capable of participating in this activity. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility for myself, including all minor children in my care, custody, and control, for bodily injury, death or loss of personal property and expenses as a result of those inherent risks and dangers identified herein and those inherent risks and dangers not specifically identified, and, as a result of my negligence in participating in this activity.

      Senja and Peru Hiking Tours

      I acknowledge that when participating on the Peru and Senja Tour, I have read and understand the difficulty level sections in the PDF. By completing this registration form for the Peru and Senja tour, I understand that a certain physical fitness level is required in order to participate on these tours for both comfort and safety.

      COVID-19 Update

      (Updated Aug 2020)

      While the travel and safety situation around COVID-19 has improved there is still uncertainty at this point when a widely available vaccine will be ready. Based on what we’ve read so far this is expected to be the case before our planned tours will take place. When you also feel comfortable to go on a tour again, you can be rest assured by our COVID-19 travel policy.

      6. NEW FLEXIBLE BOOKING CONDITIONS

      A full refund will be given:

      In the event of a tour cancellation from our side for any reason.

      When you have to cancel due to any COVID-19 related issue at any time prior to the tour start.
