01 / THE ATMOSPHERE

Out there.
Together.

There’s something special about sharing a place like this with people who understand why you stopped for the light.

Our tours bring a small group of photographers together, with Max and Madison there to guide, help and explore alongside you. There’s room to ask questions, try a different composition and enjoy the journey.

A small group

Time to get to know each other, and room for personal guidance.

02

Your own pace of learning

Explore independently or stay close and work through a composition together.

03

Places we know

Years of scouting help us choose where to go as the conditions change.

02 / A DAY IN THE FIELD

We follow
the light.

No two days are quite the same. The destination, season and weather set the rhythm. Here’s a little of what you can expect.

THE FIRST SHOOT

Worth getting up for.

We aim to be in position when the landscape begins to change. Before the shoot, we’ll talk through the location, possible compositions and the equipment you’ll need. Then it’s time to see what the morning brings.

In Senja, the midnight sun gives our days a different rhythm altogether.

03 / PERSONAL GUIDANCE

Your photograph.
Your way.

We’ll help you see the possibilities, then give you the space to find your own.

01

Find a stronger composition

Work with foregrounds, depth and changing light. Understand why a composition works, and how a small shift can change it.

02

Get comfortable with the technique

Ask about camera settings, focus stacking, bracketing or panoramas while you’re actually making the photograph.

03

Bring the image together

Explore Max’s editing approach through the tutorials included with your tour. Tour pages explain the personal editing sessions available on each trip.

04 / BETWEEN THE SHOOTS

Close to
the landscape.

Comfortable hotels, a mountain lodge or a campsite beneath the peaks. Where we stay depends on the tour and the places we photograph.

HOTELS

A place to recharge.

Hotels and apartments provide a comfortable base for our shoots. A place to rest, enjoy the surroundings and get ready for another day out with the camera.

MOUNTAIN LODGE

A base in the mountains.

Our Peru tour includes time at a mountain lodge before we head into camp. A comfortable stop between shoots, with the landscape close by.

CAMPSITES

Closer to the wild.

Camping brings us closer to remote locations in Peru, Patagonia and Senja. On our Peru and Patagonia tours, support teams carry the camping equipment, and each participant has a tent for their own use.

WORDS FROM THE FIELD

06 / BEFORE YOU JOIN

A few things
you might
be wondering.

Choosing a tour is personal. If you’re unsure which trip suits you, just ask.

Send Max a message
Do I need to be an experienced photographer?

My tours are for all photography experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced photographers. The guidance is personal, whether you’re getting to know your camera or working on more advanced techniques. Tell us what you’d like to learn, and we’ll help you make the most of the trip.

What is it like joining a group?

You’ll be travelling with people who share an interest in landscape photography. Shoots, journeys and meals give everyone time to get to know each other. There’s also space to explore compositions independently.

How much hiking will there be?

It varies considerably between destinations. Some tours reach most locations by vehicle, while others include mountain hikes and camping. Check the daily distances and elevation gains in the tour PDF, and ask us if you’re unsure about the demands of a particular trip.

What happens if the weather changes?

We use our knowledge of each destination to adapt the plan. Mist, cloud and changing light can open up different photographic opportunities. The aim is to choose the right location for the conditions, while recognising that weather is always part of the adventure.

Do all tours include camping?

No. Accommodation depends on the tour. Trips such as the Dolomites use hotels or apartments; Peru and Patagonia combine indoor accommodation with camping. Each tour page and PDF explains the arrangements.

What should I bring?

Your tour PDF includes equipment and packing guidance for the destination. Clothing, footwear and camera gear need to suit the conditions and the amount of hiking. Contact us before buying anything if you’d like advice.
