SAUDI ARABIA ITINERARY

Day 1

We start the tour at no later than 10:00 am from Tabuk Regional Airport (TUU). After saying hi to each other, we will start driving to our hotel. After check-in, we will continue our way to our first shooting area. You will need time to process what you see when you first see these mountains. The mountains are like nothing else you have seen before. Although they are not the highest mountains, their shapes matter. And oh boy, these are the most vertically shaped and impressive mountains you can imagine!

Day 2

During our photography session, we will have the opportunity to explore and find the perfect compositions for our shots. The guides Aytek and Max will help you with multiple different compositions at each location. They will actively provide support and feedback to the group, as well as share shooting tips. For the sunset shoot, we will first explore the location and then capture the breathtaking sunset. As the sun rises quickly, we will explore the location during the daytime for the sunrise shoot. This way, you will know exactly where you want to shoot and won't miss out on anything. In combination with this incredibly sharp mountain, there will be various foregrounds and subjects to discover.

Day 3

The area is perfect for capturing both wide-angle and tele-zoom photos! For wide-angle shots, there are fields with cracked mud that make great foregrounds. These fields may be small and difficult to locate, but we know where to find them! In some places we will also find some beautiful trees such as palm, basil, and citrus, as well as plants and flowers. However, stones are the best foreground to use as they can provide excellent leading lines to majestic mountains. A mountain we landscape photographers can only dream of is right here on day 3 of the Saudi Arabia tour.

Day 4

We will shoot sharp and jagged mountains that will look like a combination of the Dolomites and Zion. Use small caves to your advantage on day 4 to frame one of the many incredible peaks...

Day 5

We will be presented with some incredible tele-zoom opportunities! You can capture the numerous vertical mountains which are truly spectacular. In some areas there are also freestanding trees in front of these giant towers. This will greatly help to add depth to your photo.

Day 6

We will visit an area filled with needle shaped rocks. This area looks a little bit like Cappadocia. We will also visit an incredible high dune in front of an area with high mountains.

Day 7

On our last day we will shoot the sunrise. After our sunrise shoot we will drive back to the hotel. After checkout it is time to go to the airport and depart everyone at no later than 1pm.

Depending on the group size, we will use two or three SUV's.

All of Max's and Aytek's highly esteemed processing videos and presets will be shared before/after the tour. In these videos he will demonstrate his unique and award-winning style of processing in depth. Total value is around 2250 USD.

Enjoy delicious breakfasts before or after the shootings at the hotels

Travel insurance and flights

Travel Insurance is required and has to be arranged at some point before the tour start. You will receive one automatically with your visa. You will have to arrange your flights to and from Tabuk Regional airport.

Food: Lunch, dinner and snacks

We will visit local restaurants for lunch and dinner when possible. In between we will stop at supermarkets and small grocery stores to allow everyone to get some snacks and drinks if desired.

What lenses shall I bring to Saudi Arabia?

We recommend bringing a wide angle (zoom) and a tele-zoom lens.

Can I bring my drone?

Yes, but only outside the National Park. A drone permit is required.

How long are the hikes?

No hiking needed on this tour. However you can do a fair bit of exploring on these incredible locations

What will the weather be like?

Warm weather, even in the evenings. Expect temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius during our shootings. Mid-day will be avoided.

Is there a required experience level?

No, we have photographers from all experience levels participating. Whether you ask how to shoot in manual mode, how to take a panorama or how to master the handheld focus stack technique – the guide will always be happy to help and adopt his teaching to each skill level.

REFUND AND CANCELATION
The deposit of 1500,- euro can be transferred to a different tour. A refund will be given if 1. A replacement has been found and 2. If the tour is fully booked.

Refund Policy regarding the full payment
(which is required 90 days before the tour start):
 • More than 60 days prior to the start date: 70%refund
• 45 days prior to the start date: 35% refund
• 30 days prior to the start date: 15% refund
• Less than 30 days: no refund.

When a replacement has been found a refund will be given. Any discount offered to that replacement will be deducted from the refund amount. The received amount will be refunded - transaction costs and currency differences might lower this amount.

Refunds will be paid by the same method as the original payment was made. Refunds will be initiated within 72 hours after the approved request. Please find our full refund and cancellation policy in our Terms and Conditions here.
